When Monday rolls around, many of us will probably run to the nearest coffee with the reason to make the start of the working week easier. But, have you ever considered starting your week a little bit different?
Mango, Goji Berry Smoothie
• 1 frozen or fresh mango, peeled and roughly chopped
• 1 ripe banana
• 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
• 2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
• 3/4 cup coconut or almond milk
• 1/3 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
• 1/3 cup frozen or fresh strawberries
• 2 tbsp goji berries
• 1 tsp grated ginger
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
In a blender, mix the mango chunks and orange juice. Add 1/2 of the banana. Blend well until smooth. Then, add the chia seeds and mix until just combined. Be careful to not grind the chia seeds. Pour this mango smoothie into a glass.
Next, in the same blender, add the other half of the banana, raspberries, strawberries, ginger, goji berries and vanilla. Add the coconut or almond milk and blend everything until smooth. Add some more milk if necessary.
Pour the red colored smoothie into 2 glasses. Then, pour the mango smoothie over the raspberry-goji smoothie. With a long spoon mix them just a little. Cheers and enjoy!
Coconut, almond butter & vanilla smoothie
• 1 cup coconut milk
• 10 small dates
• ¼ cup almond butter
• 1 tsp vanilla paste
• 2 cup ice
Put all ingredients except ice in a blender. Blend well.
Then, add ice and mix until ice is all crushed. When the smoothie is well blended it is ready for drinking.
Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
